Hello! My name is Hannah Clark, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). When I am not meeting with clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband playing video and board games, hiking and traveling, reading at home with a cat on my lap, and connecting with friends and family over a good meal. I first became drawn to the counseling profession after seeing it as the perfect blend of community, curiosity, and connection. It is my goal to create a therapeutic environment in which you feel equipped and empowered to grow.
In 2020, I graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with a double major in Psychology & Social Science. I began my career as a residential counselor to youth ages 10-19 facing emotional and behavioral difficulties, healing from trauma, and focusing on reintegration with caregivers. I then earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at South Dakota State University in 2023. I went on to work in rural community mental health, where I provided individual, couples, family, and group counseling to clients of all different backgrounds. There, I spent several years witnessing the depth of the therapeutic alliance and the power of human resilience, furthering my passion for this job.
My current specialties include trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, relationship issues, men & women’s issues, stress, and life transitions. While I am open to working with people of all ages, my skill set is best suited to those ages 16 and up who are looking to make a change in their lives. My style in session can be described as insightful, calm, and collected, with a hint of “empathetic confrontation” and humor. Previous clients have shared appreciation for my honesty and willingness to challenge them, as it promotes growth without feelings of judgment or shame. It is my belief that life is full of hardship; counseling can give you the skills and support to effectively face it!
My name is Kim Zawacki. I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree in 2002. I have been happily married for 27 years and have two wonderful children, now 20 and 18 years old. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, walking, and getting to know new people.
I specialize in working with children, teens, families, and adults facing various challenges. I started out working with people who were in crises such as suicidal ideations, depression, domestic abuse, sexual assault, and anxiety. Later, I worked in schools and with homeschooled families who had emotional issues, learning and behavioral difficulties, abusive situations, anger management difficulties, family relationship struggles and were going through life transitions. I also worked with families to help them understand each other and work better as a unit. No matter what you are going through – it matters to me. Learning about improving self-esteem and how to be in healthy relationships is something that I feel is so important! I use various therapies to help clients identify what they want to discuss and how to develop a growth mindset to start healing and improving their situation.
Please reach out to start your journey towards hope. I want to get to know you better in a judgment-free zone where we can truly focus on what is most helpful for you. Please schedule a free consultation to see if you feel we are a good match.
